Final Summary

My project took many turns along the road, but finally I got all the information. My survey came out to be 12 questions, and it asked questions about personal opinion and actual facts. I orginally wanted to get 20-30 people to do my survey, but I ultimately just could not find that many people who have had concussions. To do the survey the participant had to have had at least 1 concussion. Although annoyed at first because I couldn't find my original number of people, my results suprised me alot. I thought I was going to get alot of regular answers like 1 or 2 concussions,  I told people about my injury and yes i believe concussions are a serious injury.  I surveyed 15 people not my original number but good enough, and 4 of the people in my survey had 4 or more concussions, and mostly every boy said they that we do not need  more caution regarding concussions. This was scary yet also very eye opening. This is just one example of the kind of results I got from my survey, although I didn't get all the answers about why people chose what they did I can infer things from the results. I chose to do the survey because I wanted to see what people in our area thought of concussions, after I saw a video on concussions and its effects, it really stood out to me. I was surprised that people could continue with the pain and not be scared about further injury. I did this project on concussions because I feel that concussions are sometimes pushed to the side because you cannot really see the damage and sometimes coaches or parents might think their children are stretching the injury. Concussions are very serious and I hope from my survey and study , that it will raise awareness for many.
